The
Saint Croix River defines MN/WI state boundaries from Danbury,
WI to Prescott, WI.

This
was our 15th annual contest. Cash
prizes were awarded for fish in
three categories: Largest
Walleye, Heaviest Stringer, and
Ugliest Fish. Two-person
teams combined their catch to compete
in the Heaviest Stringer category.
A total of 102 anglers competed
in the tournament this year.
Tasty
burgers and brats were served
along with chips and soda. Drawings
were held after 3 p.m. for sponsor-donated
prizes after the contest. No
one who remained for the drawing
walked away empty handed!
The
contest raised $3,100 to
benefit local charities,
including the St.
Croix Valley Youth Service
Bureau, an organization
committed to improving the
lives of young people by
developing healthy families
and communities through education,
prevention and early intervention.
